- Three machine linear editing system comprises three Panasonic SVHS machines, Panasonic edit controller and vision mixer, and a PC to provide captions
The video editing suite is equipped with four PC based non-linear editing systems. These systems are situated in their own individual booths and comprise Adobe Premier 6.5, Pinnacle DV500 hardware, Adobe Audition (previously "Cool Edit Pro"), pioneer DVD writer, and SVHS recorder. Each system may patched to the main equipment rack which contains CD, MD, and real time DVD writing facilities.
The studio also comprises a 3 machine analogue SVHS editing system with a Panasonic MX50 vision mixer.
Our students usually shoot onto mini DV format using any one of the five semi-pro cameras available. Capture the footage via firewire, edit using Adobe Premier, and then burn directly to DVD.
